Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LowLevelCraft(the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

LowLevelCraft provides educational content and interactive coding tasks for learning systems and low-level programming. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove content or functionality at any time.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and all activity under your account.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13).
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal or to harm others.
• Submit malware, cryptominers, network scanners, or code intended to attack systems outside the provided sandbox.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or sandbox isolation.
• Scrape, bulk-download, or resell curriculum content without permission.
• Impersonate others or interfere with other users' learning.
• Share accounts or automate submissions in a way that degrades service quality.

4. Your code and content

You retain ownership of code and content you create. By submitting code to the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and execute it for grading, progress tracking, and platform operation. Code is sent to third-party sandboxed execution services as described in our Privacy Policy.

Do not submit confidential or proprietary code that you are not allowed to share. Public profiles, comments, or solutions you choose to share may be visible to other users.

5. Our content and intellectual property

Curriculum writeups, task designs, branding, and platform software (excluding your submissions) are owned by LowLevelCraft or its licensors. Open-source components are governed by their respective licenses. You may not copy the curriculum for commercial redistribution without written permission.

6. Free service and limits

Access may currently be free, subject to fair-use rate limits on code execution and API calls. We may introduce paid plans, change limits, or restrict features with reasonable notice when practical. No uptime or grading SLA is guaranteed.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Educational content may contain errors; verify critical systems knowledge from primary sources.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LowLevelCraft and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or reputation arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50).

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LowLevelCraft and its operators from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for operational reasons. Provisions that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive termination.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after the updated date means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
